Stunning views, delicious food, and friendly staff! This was the best stay we had during our 2.5 week trip to Italy. Truly a 5 star stay, nothing compares to the hospitality at Il Borro. All the restaurants on site were absolutely delicious. They have so many experiences on site such as horseback riding, wine tasting, and cooking classes. We took part in a wine and cheese tasting where we also got a tour of the distillery. Since we went in the off season it ended up being a private wine tasting. Our room was in the restored medieval village which was an experience on its own. We have not been able to stop raving about our time at Il Borro to our friends and family we highly recommend staying here! Hope to visit again one day!
A lovely stay made extra special by the efforts of Ksenia on the front desk who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Thank you very much, James & Anastasia. ||P.s. If you like horses, this is the place for you - they have so many and we spent hours walking around the extensive equestrian facilities that are on-site.
We had an extraordinary stay at this exceptional hotel.
The service was impeccable, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade in the medieval town. The hotel and room surpassed all expectations, creating a truly unforgettable experience.
While the cooking session added a fun element, especially that chef Matteo was super friendly, it felt a bit overpriced considering the simplicity of the meals prepared. Having a choice in meal selection would have enhanced the overall experience.
Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend it.
We visited il Boro back in 2016 ! It had been an amazing experience ! The rooms were luxurious and spacious, the landscape unforgettable and the food and wine divine ! A must destination to relish, unwind and relax ! We are intending to go back sometime in the future!
Brilliant place in Tuscany.
The grounds available at Il Borro are very expansive and varied, you can stroll around the land, stop by for a cocktail near one of the several pools, continue to visit the horses and maybe enjoy a ride.
The accommodation in the village was excellent and very authentic but with modern facilities.
Staff were pleasant, knowledgeable ghosts always available to help when required and only then.
The views are sublime, the food and drinks are excellent.
Overall, an excellent stay in a unique setting providing a relaxing and stress free vacation.
It was very hard deciding on a property in Tuscany, but we were happy we picked Il Borro. The price was cheaper than other famous luxury options, but that didn't reflect any lack thereof.
The service / staff were very attentive and professional and cared about the guest's experience.
The rooms are all situated in a medieval village buildings that dates very far back and have been restored beautifully. We got a junior suite that was gorgeous. Free bottle of wine upon arrival to room was a great touch + another during our stay in celebration of my boyfriend's bday.
The house keeping does a great job and we felt the suite was beautifully refreshed each time we returned.
Tons of farm life on and around the property. You'll mainly see horses unless you do the farm tour which we did and enjoyed, but felt was a bit expensive at 80 euros per person. In my opinion it should be half that price.
There are 3 pools. The "country" pool was our favorite, but all are beautiful and unique. Poolside drinks and food were great.
A set of golf carts and cars are at your disposal to drive you anywhere around the property since it is quite large.
The wine tasting was great and very informative. The cellars are beautiful and well taken care of. They have great pride in their wine making process and we ordered 6 bottle to be shipped back home, along with their local honey and olive oil.
We didn't try their tasting restaurant on site, so can't speak to it. But some feedback from people led us not to try. We ate at a local spot right outside the property that was amazing, rustic, and authentic. We went to a tasting restaurant an hour away called Mater that was one of the best I'd ever experienced and worth the drive.
Since we booked through platinum card portal we received free breakfasts, $100 in spa credits, and a $50 wine credit which was awesome and we took advantage of all.
Overall we felt that their was a-lot of do on the property and gave us the beautiful tuscan experience we were looking for.
Our 3 day visit Il Borrow was amazing!! Loved that our two rooms were located in the medieval village area as it truly allowed you to feel apart of the complete resort. The rooms were charming and luxurious along with the baths, towels and …
We are at Il Borro right now. The construction is super flimsy. We can easily hear footsteps, peeing, and flushing from the room above us. The footsteps sound like thumping. Very loud and highly unsatisfactory, all because this place is cheaply constructed and poorly insulated.
